Architecture Detailing

Archi visuals:- The Minimalist Home Design is a double-floor residential project with a total built-up area of 4,171.00 square feet, designed in a contemporary minimalist style. Developed by Reflection Architecture and led by designer Abdul Nazar KM, the project was commissioned by client Saif Al Zaabi. Situated on a spacious 11,302.11-square-foot plot in Madinat Al Riyad, Abu Dhabi, the design emphasizes simplicity, clean lines, and functional elegance. The project was initially submitted on November 18, 2021, and reached completion on June 12, 2025, reflecting a meticulous approach to both design and execution.

This modern elevation design exemplifies a well-balanced fusion of verticality and transparency, promoting both aesthetic appeal and functional living. The symmetrical layout is anchored by bold geometric masses and framed by sleek, full-height glazing that not only enhances the facade’s visual depth but also establishes a strong indoor-outdoor connection. The glass panels are likely treated for UV protection and thermal insulation, maintaining comfort without compromising style. Above the entrance, the perforated jaali acts as a sun-shading element, providing passive cooling and casting intricate light patterns inside during the day. This feature also adds an element of privacy for the balcony area while maintaining airflow.

The entryway is framed by a canopy with recessed lighting, ensuring a well-lit approach during nighttime. The elevation's clean surfaces are accented by the strategic use of warm materials—particularly the natural wood door and vertical slatted wood cladding—which introduce texture and a sense of tactility. The combination of white walls and dark frames creates a crisp, modern contrast, while the cantilevered roof edges with concealed LED strip lights reinforce the elevation’s sharp profile and nighttime elegance.

Landscaping plays a critical role in softening the built form. The paved stone driveway not only provides a durable, slip-resistant surface but also enhances the villa’s stately entrance feel. The evenly spaced bollard lights lining the path highlight the central axis and guide visitors intuitively toward the entrance. Subtle layering in the landscape with flowering shrubs, native plants, and small ornamental trees ensures low maintenance while complementing the building’s modernist vocabulary.
